Immokalee High School BETA Club Wins First Place
Immokalee High School (IHS) BETA Club members recently won first place honors at the 66th Annual Florida BETA Club Convention held in Daytona Beach. Immokalee finished first in the state in Ceramics, Computer Graphics, Group Talent, Philanthropy and Scrapbook competitions. The members also finished in second place in six competition categories, and in third place in five other categories.
The Immokalee BETA Club will represent Florida at the 28th Annual National BETA Convention in June.
BETA is an acronym for Better Education Through Achievement. The club motto is "Let us lead by serving others." To be eligible to take part in convention activities, BETA members must maintain a 3.0 Grade Point Average.
