Orange County School Recognized for Counseling Program
Grand Avenue Primary Learning Center in Orange County is one of 72 schools from 15 states that will be recognized June 29 for making exemplary commitment to comprehensive school counseling programs according to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).
The schools, which reach across the K-12 spectrum, will receive the Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) designation during a special ceremony at ASCA’s annual conference in Dallas, Texas.
The RAMP designation, awarded to schools that align with the criteria set in the ASCA National Model, recognizes schools that are committed to delivering a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program and an exemplary educational environment. More than 250 schools have been designated as RAMP since the program’s inception of the program in 2003.
RAMP applications are reviewed once a year by a panel of school counseling professionals. The next submission deadline is Feb. 1, 2010. For more information on the program, visit www.schoolcounselor.org.
