Palm Beach County School Wins National Sports Contest

Panther Run Elementary School in Palm Beach County recently won a heart monitor package by earning 8,325 points in the Physical Education Fun For Everyone contest sponsored by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education. Students, staff and parents entered the contest as part of National Physical Education and Sport Week held May 4-8, 2009.

By placing first nationally, the school will receive a heart technology starter package from Polar, a leading brand in heart rate monitoring sports instruments that includes 12 E600 heart rate monitors, an interface, a class management system, one Lessons from the Heart book and an instructional banner. The monitors will be used in the school’s physical education program.
