The test information guides provide a general overview of each test and are not intended as all-inclusive sources of content knowledge, nor are they substitutes for college course work. The sample items are not an exact representation of the content of the actual test. The guides are intended to help candidates prepare for an examination by presenting an overview of the content and format of the examination.Test information guides are available for the FTCE and FELE. Test information guides include a description of the test, a list of competencies and skills tested, sample test items, and a reference sheet, if applicable.
Test Information Guides are now available for purchase online. Select the guides you would like to purchase and enter your credit card number. Your order will be downloaded to your computer.
Order forms for purchasing test information guides are provided in the FTCE Registration Bulletin and at the FTCE/FELE Program Web site.
It is to the candidate's advantage to order test information materials well in advance of the test date. Copies of FTCE test preparation materials may also be found in many Florida university libraries and in a limited number of college bookstores.
Examinees may also check the Department’s FTCE Web page, http://www.fldoe.org/asp/ftce/ftcecomp.asp, for a list of the competencies and skills for each certification examination.
