K-12 NAEP Highlights 2003:

• Florida is the only state in the nation to show improvement in 4th grade reading from 2002.
• Florida has shown dramatic gains in reading since 1998.
• Florida's results show a significant increase in Hispanic 4th grade NAEP reading scores, nearly twice the national gain from 1998
• The reading improvement on NAEP of Florida's African American 4th grade students since 1998 is more than twice the national gain.
