About Us

The Office of Educational Technology, (OET), provides leadership and support to schools and libraries throughout the state of Florida in the effective use of telecommunications. OET manages two of the three statewide networks, the Florida Information Resource Network (FIRN) and the Florida Knowledge Network (FKN), as well as Public Broadcasting, and the E-Rate Outreach program. OET is able to reach every elementary and secondary school throughout the state through these state networks, making for both an efficient and equitable way to distribute resources.
