Florida Career and Professional Education Act
The Florida Career and Professional Education Act was created to provide a statewide planning partnership between business and education communities, to expand and retain high-value industry, and sustain a vibrant state economy.

- Comprehensive Industry Certification List approved by Workforce Florida, Inc.
Workforce Florida, Inc. (WFI), Announces the Open Submission Period for Consideration of Career and Professional Education Act [CAPE] Act Certifications. Requests for additions to the state’s 2009-10 “Comprehensive Industry Certification List” for the CAPE Act are being accepted. The WFI submission deadline has been extended to the end of October.
Only industry certifications approved by Workforce Florida, Inc., will be considered for addition to the 2009-2010 Industry Certification Funding List (NOTE: The funding list is approved by the State Board of Education). Once an item has been approved for the Comprehensive Industry Certification list, the Department will review requests for additions to the 2009-10 Industry Certification Funding List.
